Waves
of Pleasure
Bernie Vinzani
May
21-23, 2004,
Maine master papermaker Bernie Vinzani will teach a 2.5
day workshop in the Lost Arch papermill at The University of Alabama.
This very special class, limited to ten individuals, is open to the public
and no previous experience is necessary. If you are interested in learning
about the art and craft of making paper by hand this is your chance!
Space is limited so let us know your interest as soon as possible.
The
papermaker forms the sheet with finesse, watching the side to
side and back to front waves of pulp, evenly locking the fibers into place.
Learn from professional hand papermaker, Bernie Vinzani, how to make luscious
text papers, hearty binding papers, and durable cover papers during this
workshop. If this is your first time making paper, you will learn foundation
skills of fiber preparation, sheet formation, and paper finishing. If
you are an experienced
papermaker, you can add to your skills and knowledge of the craft.
